BicyclesDensely populated countries like China, India and Japan rely heavily on motor-driven bicycles and scooters for mobile transport. The two-stroke engines on these vehicles pollute more than four-stroke Otto cycle engines and are starting to be banned in some Asian cities. Fuel-cell scooters and bicycles may be the solution. Scooters are currently available from Asia Pacific Fuel Cell Technologies (Taiwan), Palcan (Canada) and Yamaha (Japan). |
